Collaborative drawn postcards by Carol Archer's drawing students (2012-2013)

Students in Carol Archer’s ‘Understanding Drawing’ class (Sept-Dec 2012) and ‘Contemporary Drawing’ class (Jan-May 2013) in the Visual Studies Department at Lingnan University, Hong Kong, were inspired by the collaborative postcards of their teacher and her artist-friends i.e. the completed Macao: Elsewhere project and  the current Elsewhere-Home project. They built on the ‘rules’ developed by Carol and her friends, to make their own collaborative postcards. The postcard series by the ‘Understanding Drawing’ group was entitled ‘Here and There.’  The postcards by students in the ‘Contemporary Drawing’ group explored the theme of ‘Place and Home’.
